- Kummah: Worn by Omani Muslim men. It is a headgear, a tight-fitting and with embroidery works. They come in variety of colors and designs. In fact it is very rare you will find a Kummah with the same design. Wearing Dishdasha with kummah is common in Oman. Kummah is either machine made or handmade and Omani men have variety of styles wearing it.
- Mussar: It is a turban, usually worn in winters and is made of delicate square woollen cloth. It can be worn with or without a kummah.
- Shal: It is also seen in Arab countries that Muslim men carry a dagger with them on their Dishdasha. Shal is a long material, used as a holder for the Omani dagger or ‘Khanjar’. Other than shal, Muslim men also use leather or silver belts ‘Stapa’ to hold the dagger.
- Bisht: It is also seen that Muslims in wedding or formal occasions, cover their Dishdashas with a black or beige wrap known as ‘Bisht’, which is made of transparent soft cloth, with gold or silver thread embroidery work on the edge and the sleeves.
- Furkha: There is an essential adornment in most Dishdashas, especially in the neckline and it is a tassle called ‘Furkha’ or ‘Karkusha’. The most interesting feature of this furkha is that it is spread with fragrance. That is why in most occasions, Muslim men always smell nice when they are in their Dishdasha.
- Keffiyeh: Keffiyeh is another headdress for Arab Muslim men. Made of cotton or wool, it is elegant and comfortable, and in square-shape that covers the heads of Muslim men. Although, it is woven in many colours and styles, the popular ones are the checkered red and white or black and white keffiyehs.
Muslim culture has its own traditional dress for men. The distinctive full length white robe worn proudly by Muslim men, known as Dishdasha, has become a symbol of Muslim unity. Simple but elegant, the all-time favourite colour of Dishdasha is white though other colours like black, brown, blue, maroon, green and grey are also available. Nowadays, dashing striking colours are preferred by youngsters. It is usually plain, collarless and with long sleeves, though nowadays, the design patterns have changed to make this traditional dress more trendy. Young and old, all Muslims wear Dishdashas especially in special or religious occasions. Depending on the country of origin, there are certain elements that make a Dishdasha a complete wear.
